Case study: building AzenPlay for regulated-market entry

Infinetix is a UK product company that builds, owns and operates its own platforms. This case study covers AzenPlay, our online casino and sportsbook platform, from the problem we set out to solve to where the build stands today.

The challenge

Regulated iGaming punishes shortcuts. An operator needs identity verification, anti-money-laundering checks, segregated player funds, responsible-gambling tools, payment rails that work in each market, and reporting that a regulator will accept, before a single player deposits. Most platforms assemble these from separate vendors, which means separate contracts, separate data models and nobody who owns the whole.

Infinetix wanted the opposite: one platform where every regulated function is a first-class part of the product, engineered from the start for licence applications rather than retrofitted. It also had to run casino and sportsbook together, support several languages from day one, and be operable by a small team.

The question was whether a small, AI-augmented team could build that scope without an agency-sized headcount.

How we worked

  • Compliance
  • AzenPlay
  • AcuBi

The build followed the operating principles Infinetix applies to every product.

Regulated functions first. KYC, fund segregation and player-protection tools were designed before the lobby, because they shape the data model everything else depends on.

One team, wide scope. A small group owned product, engineering and operations, augmented with AI tooling for code, testing and documentation, rather than splitting into vendor silos.

Ship it or say so. Each capability was described internally as it actually worked, with dates, so licensing preparation was based on the real platform rather than a roadmap.

Boring where it counts. Payments, compliance and data residency were treated as the areas where surprises are least welcome, and were tested accordingly.

Measured from the start. Operational metrics were defined early, which is why AzenPlay became the founding design partner for AcuBi.

Result and status

  • AzenPlay
  • White-label
  • AcuBi
  • Compliance

AzenPlay is built and being prepared for licensed launch. The platform runs the full player journey from registration to withdrawal in test environments, the regulated-market controls are in place, and licensing work is in progress.

We are careful with the word live. Until a licence is granted and the first market opens, AzenPlay is not described as operating, and no player or revenue figures are claimed. What we can say is that the scope above exists, works end to end, and is the basis for both Infinetix's own operation and white-label deployments for other operators.

The platform is also the reference environment for AcuBi, which means its metrics model, root-cause detection and compliance analytics are being shaped on a real iGaming data set.

What we learned

  • Compliance
  • AcuBi

Three things carried over into every Infinetix product.

Compliance is a design input, not a checklist. Building identity, fund segregation and limits into the core model early cost less than any retrofit would have, and made licensing preparation straightforward.

Small teams can carry wide scope if tooling does the repetitive work. AI-assisted engineering let a small team cover casino, sportsbook, payments and back office without a proportional headcount.

You cannot operate what you cannot measure. Defining GGR, NGR, bonus cost and payment success as platform-level metrics from the start is what made AcuBi possible, and it is why every Infinetix product now ships with its metrics defined before launch.

Using this template

Future case studies follow the same seven sections: At a glance, The challenge, What we built, How we worked, Result and status, Metrics, What we learned. Keep the headings so readers can compare studies.

Rules for every case study on this site:

  • Describe the product as it works today, with status stated plainly
  • Use only figures with a dated source; leave the confirm marker in place until then
  • Name clients, partners and providers only with written permission
  • No testimonials unless supplied and approved by the person quoted
  • Cross-link to the product page, and to AcuBi where measurement is discussed

A case study that cannot yet fill the Result and Metrics sections honestly should say so rather than pad them.

よくある質問

Not yet. It is built and being prepared for licensed launch, with licensing in progress. We will update this page and the AzenPlay product page when the first market opens.
Yes. AzenPlay is available white-label, under your brand, with Infinetix operating the platform. Direct and hybrid deployment options are described on the AzenPlay page.
Because we publish figures only once they have been measured on the deployed platform. Placeholders stay visible internally until then so nobody mistakes a target for a result.
AcuBi is Infinetix's analytics and AI product. AzenPlay is its founding design partner, which means AcuBi's iGaming metric model and compliance analytics are being developed against AzenPlay's real data.
Yes, as products reach milestones worth reporting. Each will use this structure so that status, scope and measured results are easy to compare.
