Coldcard hardware wallet flaw linked to large BTC theft

A long-standing firmware flaw in Coldcard wallets weakened seed phrase randomness and enabled attackers to derive private keys. The report says more than 1,778 BTC, worth about $112.7 million, was stolen from over 8,600 addresses starting on July 30, 2026.
