UK tax changes raise remote gambling duty and remote betting duty

A June report says UK remote gaming duty increased from 21% to 40% in April 2026 and that remote betting duty is due to rise from 15% to 25% in April 2027. The same coverage says the statutory gambling levy for online operators began in April 2025.
